Art · access · equal participation
True blindness is ignorance.
We make the unseen visible, the unheard heard, and culture accessible to all.
● Do you see me?● Do you understand me?● Do you hear me?● Would you run with me?● A world without barriers
Our story
36 years of art, solidarity and rights advocacy.
Stichting Barikat Kunst continues a movement built through decades of determination. From Türkiye to the Netherlands and beyond, we use art, cinema, sport and culture to challenge barriers and make equal participation visible.
Our work is rooted in a rights-based approach. We do not speak about pity. We build spaces where disabled people can lead, create, perform, compete, be heard and be seen.
Through accessible cultural events, awareness journeys and international cooperation, we invite everyone to imagine and build a world without barriers.
